2010 VEX Robotics $500 Scholarships Available
from Action Works, thanks to a grant from the Woodward Foundation

 The purpose of this grant is to start up VEX teams in several different communities in Colorado.  VEX is a program for Upper Middle School age and High School.

Rules:
1)    Must not already have VEX robotics with the organization.
2)    Preference is given to School Based groups… although Community based groups will be considered.
3)    Four scholarships are available, however all 4 may not be granted.
4)     Scholarships will be granted by mid-February.  This gives interested teams time to come to the Colorado Championship on February 6 and still apply.
5)    Scholarships will be granted by ranking of commitment to keep the program running year after year (letter from PTA, coach,  principal, or industrial tech department).
6)    Robots must display the Action Works and Woodward logos anywhere (visible) on their robots for the first year of competitions.
7)    Teams must be co-ed.
8)    The scholarship will be given on a reimbursement basis after purchase of VEX equipment.

Applications due February 12.  Short essay application answering the question “Why do you want to start a VEX team in your community?”  Please include contact information.
